Hi there,

I'm Jiyu.

I'm a Toronto-based UX designer from Korea and lived in 5 different countries. My diverse cultural experiences have enriched my design perspectives and equipped me with a better understanding of user behaviors, preferences, and expectations across different cultures, being passionate about creating inclusive user experiences.

How I Fell in
Love with UX?

My journey into UX design began with my graphic design background and a 2-year working experience in hospitality. Hospitality and UX design might appear to be distinct industries, but I believe that they share a common thread – the pursuit of creating experiences that leave people content and satisfied.
While working in hospitality, I even discovered that everything, from the design of the outdoor site to the choice of food and beverage, mirrors the principles of UX, contributing to a memorable customer experience.
Curiosity-Driven Learner

Passionate about technology and self-motivated to excel in the UX design field, I am a curious learner eager to embrace challenges. Also, I thrive on challenges and engage in design competitions, and design communities where I find immense joy in learning from others and of course, growing together. Not afraid to share opinions, I believe in fostering a collaborative environment where diverse perspectives contribute to innovative solutions.
In My Free Time...

Exercising
I’m a 2-year home CrossFit lover — It's a good way of staying fit, focused, and ready for whatever the day throws at me.
Travelling
I love exploring the world! I spent a good couple of years in Yulara, the heart of that amazing red desert in the world.
Language Exchange
I like to communicate with people from various backgrounds because it opens up a world of perspectives.
